"A big thank you to the locum GP"

About: General practices in Lanarkshire

(as a parent/guardian),

GP was amazing with my son, spent time explaining what was wrong with him how to make him better and why we use or don’t use certain medicines.

I was impressed with his bedside manner tone and compassion towards my son he spoke directly to him allowed him to explain and answer. As a health care professional myself I feel I wanted to share this experience as it seems it’s always bad experiences that are shared.

A big thank you to the locum GP not sure if I am allowed to share name.

Dear Mum with knowledge,

Thank you for sharing your son's recent consultation experience with his GP.

Your GP has clearly provided the person-centred approach that we all aspire to; providing good information so choices can be made and involving you both in decisions about care with compassion.
