Having been submitted to the QA on numerous occasions for heart problems and cardiac interventions i cannot speak highly enough of the nursing staff and Doctors/Consultants that I have been in contact with.
Without doubt the best, most caring staff one could wish for and always there when they are needed.
BRILLIANT.
However, and there is always a however, how comes it always seem to take the pharmacy hours to fulfil a request for 2 small boxes of run of the mill medication.
This time it was over 2 hours
Thats longer than the theatre team kept me waiting for the procedure... farcical, allowed to go home, debriefed by ward nursing staff and the Doctor and then having to sit in a chair on the ward for 2 hours waiting for some meds!!!
And i wouldn't have got it then if one of the delightful staff from the ward hadn't gone down and chased it up.
If they are understaffed to cope with the work load then do something about the staffing or the process.
What a shame they spoil the whole review
