Disappointed that the doctor read a patient’s full name out in the waiting room. First name or surname is sufficient to maintain patients’ confidentiality.
Upon meeting the dr, I found this dr impersonal and uninterested, altogether rather odd.
I had been referred for a specific issue by my GP which I wanted resolved.
Instead the dr called a nurse in to carry out a smear test without obtaining my permission or even asking when the last time I had sex was, (which could affect results). All of a sudden the nurse was down by my ankles holding the instrument, which I neither asked for, nor gave permission for. When I declined, stating I preferred to go to my GP, the response was ‘well you’re here now’.
Really unprofessional attitude, lack of communication and did nothing really to resolve the issue I had come for or reassure me about any future treatment I may need.
Altogether a waste of time attending this appointment. Have to wait a further 8 weeks to see someone that I should have been allocated in the first place.
I’ve paid for private treatment before and I can really see the difference in attitude towards patients
Hope I never have the misfortune to be allocated to this doctor again.
