About: Scarborough General Hospital / Accident and emergency

A elderly disabled lady in her 90s .

After a fall was taken to a&e by ambulance suffering from back pain and a lot of bruising of head, face and body. After a few hours was taken to a ward where she was ignored as she was told she was a a&e patient and nothing to do with them. She wasn't offered any food . Early next day they said she was going home as they had someone who needed her bed they wasn't pleased that she needed help to get out of bed . She was then dumped in a chair to sit for nearly 5hrs for the PTS to take her home. They took her home and she was dumped again in a chair and one said you can not expect to be in hospital just for a fall !! She was unable to stand due to the pain in her back along with her disability and lives alone . I got in touch with her GP who wanted her readmitted but she refused to go. So she's been left in the chair day & night for a few days now . I go to give her food and drinks and help her to get on commode . This is one hospital that should be closed down in order to save lives
