"Excellent Hospital 100% Satisfied"

Portsmouth Hospital Gyne Department is truly amazing.

I was referred here due to my local hospitals not having a theatre team needed for my surgery (severe adhesions, scar tissue and bilateral salpingectomy - both tubes removed)

The consultation appointment with my Surgeon was fantastic, was wonderful, very informative, put me at ease and very understanding. The Day Unit Team preparing me on the day for my surgery were really fantastic, happy, chatty and relaxing. Just normal lovely people who made a huge difference to me and my care whilst at the hospital.

The theatre team that took me through were again amazing, keeping me calm, constantly making sure I'm comfortable, keeping me fully informed each step of the way and just having general conversations about things, really chilled me out.

Woke up in recovery and was taken to Ward A6 (fall aware room)

Here I had an over night stay and they looked after me so incredibly well. These people are true super hero's, they do such an amazing job and they should be respected 100% every single day. They work so hard and are always there when needed, nothing is too much trouble. I understand it's their job but their personality and smiles really really do help you aswell as all the care and treatment you receive from them, they certainly helped me.

I shall look forward to my 6 week review back at the Queen Alexandra to see the faces helped me get my surgery and cared for me whilst I was in their care.

Thank you to everyone from the Bookings Centre, the Gyne secretarys, the lovely member of staff who directs you where to go if you are looking lost, the pre op assessment nurse team, the receptions desk, the blood team, the day unit nurse team, the theatre staff, A6 ward team, catering team for my food, team and water and my consultant. You are all amazing

A very very big thank you and the greatest respect for all you wonderful people who cared for me whilst I was in the hospital.

I shall be sending my thank yous to the departments but I just wanted to share my very positive and happy experience at Queen Alexandra Hospital. This is the best hospital I have ever been too.
