I am writing to thank the staff of Southport Hospital.
Throughout my brief stay, from A&E to surgery on ward 14a, I felt cared for and the service was very efficient - after my injury in the evening I was in surgery the next morning.
The auxy nurses, nurses, doctors, ward clerk, physio team, porters and housekeepers were caring and helpful. The clinical staff took time to explain things to me when I needed it, and that felt reassuring. The ward was clean.
As I am still in a cast, I have yet to see what the outcome of the surgery will be for me, but during this initial phase of my injury, in my opinion the NHS has done a great job! Thank you to everyone.
Minor suggestion for improvement:- allocate a wheelchair to A&E (I had to hop to see the triage nurse and it was quite painful and precarious).
