Well a short trip to the maternity assessment unit and previous antenatal appointments was enough for me to realise I won't have my baby here. Antenatal appointments very disorganised ... never see the same consultant an then everytime you have to up date them with your birth plan as they haven't read the notes. Assessment unit worse with nurses barely getting out of chairs to tend to women in early stages of labour. Also witnessed patients partners asking for pain relief an saw little storing from the nurses desk as they were busy chatting. Also was told by nurses they only had one obstetrics covering a and e , maternity an delivery suite. Thank goodness I'm only 22 weeks and have time to change my hospital. The quality of care here is poor and needs investigating.
