"Awful Service. Never Helpful."

The sevice at Christchurch & Southbourne CMHT is abissmal. The so called proffesionals that are meant to be trained in Mental Health display huge gaps in knowledge or understanding about the complexaties of mental health. You never get a call back, even in suicidal emergencies. There is no support system in place. Nobody provides treatment or care. As a please you are refered to for Mental Health help, it's a massive concern that vulnerable people are being sent here. I have been in hospital after suicide attempts & had not even a follow up or call from this CMHT. Let alone any care or support ot treatment given. The staff to not even provide empathy, let alone any skills in mental health to help you. Its a traumatic experience to go to a place that is said to be there to help you. And it does the opposite. There is no respect for patients. There total lack of care and support is another to send somebody without a mental health problem into a crazy mess through sheer frustration. Its a place where you don't even feel safe as a patient. When experiencing symptoms of mental health problems, no advice, support, care, skill or proffesionalism is shown. Please do not go here if you suffer from mental health. I wouldnt wish any vulnerable person, brave enough to seek help, to be in a position where you will only be made to feel worse, invalidated, and not given the help & support you need. The C&S CMHT, will only make you feel worse. No follow up's are given. Staff make promises they don't keep. They are meant to be there to help & support patients, on a difficult & painful healing journey & they do not have the skills to provide help or support. I have recieved no support or proffesional help. You see in the Media to "seek help" if you suffer from Mental Health & the really scary thing is, when you do, the help is not there. I have even been laughed at by staff for feeling suicidal!!! It couldn't get any worse than Christchurch & Southbourne CMHT.
