"I'm in Agreement.."

About: Ridgeway Hospital

I will second the rudeness of the XRAY department receptionist. Booked in on Tuesday and they were dismissive and rude and made me feel like an idiot when I asked them a question when there was a whole room of people waiting for their appointment.

Just passed me the form and told me to fill it in. First time in this hospital therefore I wouldn't know how the process works with booking appointments. Never mind, we'll see how it goes from here on.

We are extremely sorry that a member of our Imaging Reception Team came across as rude and dismissive; this has been discussed with them and it has been suggested that making appointments during busy periods can prevent the proper engagement with patients who have attended for an appointment, which is not acceptable.

To this end, the team have been asked to use their judgement during busy periods, as to whether an appointment can be arranged by telephone or sent in the post, thus availing them to answer any questions posed by patients attending for a scan and to explain the reason why a safety questionnaire requires completion.

We have also asked the Imaging Reception Team to hand out patient satisfaction questionnaires so that we can obtain and act on any feedback received going forward.

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.

The opinions of those who use our services given us valuable insight into the patient services we provide and where improvements are required.
