"Blood tests discomfort"

About: General practices in Lanarkshire

(as the patient),

I went for a blood test recently at the Burnbank Medical Centre, my appointment was at 8:30 but I did not arrive till 8:39 as I was delayed due to anxiety issues. I was prepared to wait until they were able to see me after the other patients but they called me in.

They started off saying they didn't know what tests I was there for or why I was there, I apologised for being late, explained I was prepared to wait but they just went on about not knowing what I needed. They then started to go through my medical history, including the anxiety, I told them I thought the test was for vitamin deficiency. After a while they sent me back out and then recalled me a little while later, took my blood tests and I was free to go.

I felt uncomfortable with the way they kept on.
