"They saved my life"

About: East Surrey Hospital

What I liked

I was admitted for an emergency appendectomy at around 10 am and was on the way to the operating theatre at around 4 pm for a successful operation. The East Surrey team saved my life, for which I am very grateful, and I only have 3 small scars to show for the experience.

What could be improved

I would have liked some advice on what it would be like post-op - voluminous and painful wind as well as pain from the incisions. The best advice I got was from an American website that said 'if it hurts, don't do it'!WebsiteScarsEmergencyOperating theatre
