"Midwives in triage not professional and competent"

About: Queen Charlotte's Hospital / Maternity

I went to Triage twice due to reduced movements - 26 Nov Sunday early morning and 28 Nov Tue night. In both occassions I was appalled at the incompetence and lack of professionalism of the widwives. They don't inform the patient about the process they will follow, and all they do is to try and fob off the patient. In my last visit, one of them even dared to implicitly threaten me by saying if I come to Triage for a third time they will have to induce - and I'm only 31 wks. This is a misleading information - it may only be feasible at full term, i.e. after 37 wks. Their job is to check the baby - not to intimidate people as their sleep or gossip chats are distracted. Why does the Trust not check the service quality of Triage personnel? I'm a tax payer and am not at all pleased with the health service I get. No wonder why the UK is the worst country amongst developed countries in labour and newborn losses. 'Fob off' culture.
