"Wonderful, caring, compassionate staff... thank..."

I wanted to write to say a huge thank you to all of the staff working on the Anthony Letchworth Ward at the RHCH yesterday (29/11/17). After a sad visit to the EPU clinic it was quickly arranged that I could be admitted that day to have a procedure. The staff working in the EPU clinic were incredibly compassionate and caring, making what was an upsetting time much more bearable. I really appreciate these two staff members taking the time to sit with me and explain all my options, and then arranging for me to be admitted that morning. Thank you!

All the nurses on the Anthony Letchworth ward were wonderful and empathetic towards myself and my husband. Particularly the two who we spent the most time with that day. Please, please pass on my thanks and gratitude to the lovely consultant and their amazing anaesthesia team. Again a huge thanks to the anaesthetist for being so sincere and reasurring. Finally all of the team in surgery and the recovery room, thank you for being so naturally kind and personable. Particularly to the nurse/anethatist who looked after me in recovery who was just so lovely and ensured I was in no pain, chatting to me to take my mind off of everything. The nurse took the time to organise me some further medication (oramoph) when it hadn’t been prescribed and I so appreciated their warmth and compassion.. thank you.

Overall thank you to all of the staff that looked after me, I can’t thank you enough for making a particularly difficult day go so smoothly. I appreciate all that you did for me and the warmth, compassion and care you gave. Thank you so much, you are all fantastic.
