The enquirer has been struggling to get an appointment with a GP (rather than a nurse) for a number of months. The surgery have implemented a new booking system where patients have to ring on the day either at 8am or 2pm to get an appointment on the same day.
The surgery say they will guarantee an appointment for the same day however the patient either cannot get through on the phones at 8am or 2pm or, when they do get through, the appointments have all gone.
The person the caller spoke to at the surgery also said the practice do not offer pre-bookable appointments (however looking on the practice website, you can book a pre-arranged appointment via Patient Access).
