What I liked

Doctors were informative and friendly took time to explain things when they were available.

What could be improved

The overall attitude and communication fronm the nursing staff was extremely poor. They were lacking in etiquette and did not appear to be the slightest interested in the well being and welfare of the patients. A Matron or senior Nursing Officer would improve things 100%

Anything else?

The Nurses tend to stand around discussing thier own personal and social lives. If a question relating to the patient is asked they appear to have little or no insight into the patient and show little interest in anything. The old addage always look busy applies to these nurses they are appearing busy in actual fact doing very little . I witnessed a patient being administered with a drip and the visitors to one of the beds who happened to be nurses from another hospitasl commented on the anner in which the drip was being given the patient actually had a bad reaction while they were present. The same nurse later tried to give an intraveanous injection to another patient who asked to see the presciption for itand it turned out to be for a completely different patient the nursing standards and responsible attitude seems to be on a scale of 1 to 10 0ne being bottom I would rate it as 3.AttitudeBedsDoctorsNursing staffCommunicationMatron
