"Over 10 days for a prescription"

About: Abbey Field Medical Centre

On the 20th November i handed in a prescription to Hawthorne surgery.Since then i am still waiting for my drugs.Every day i have been phoning.Hawthorne Surgery telling me it has gone to Abbeyfield,I go to Abbeyfield they tell me that its gone to Boots the chemist.Yesterday Boots told me they will have it this evening after 5pm.Luckily i phoned them,only to be told they have just received it & it will be ready tomorrow after 5pm.(i wonder)??9 days i have been waiting for these drugs.i have to inject myself every day as i have a blood clot.Its now 3 days & i havent been able to do this.

Its unbelievable.I have never had this before.Can you please make sure i can collect this tomorrow at Boots.

It is difficult to investigate as I do not receive details of the person submitting the complaint.

However I would comment that we are completely up to date with our prescriptions - the only delays normally encountered are when patients are required to have tests etc. done, which they have not come in for, and we are unable to prescribe until this has been done - in line with NICE guidelines.
