"Wonderful care at St Albans District Hospital"

Following referral by the respiratory team I have been receiving multiple daily iv anti biotics via the AMU at the Runcie Wing. The care has been second to none. I am so impressed.

The nurses delivered so much more than simple value for money . They gave true care . Every person who touched me washed their hands at least once during my treatment and there was great attention to keeping everything spotless. I saw the nurses wiping all the chairs and changing the pillowcases at the end of the day.

They were all careful to review the state of my cannula and ensure it was comfortable and stable at each visit, changing it frequently. There was never any wait after the drip was finished they were onto it and never left me for long even when they had to attend to other patients. That they were cheerful and working as a team was self evident.

I felt truly privileged to be in their care. They are true professionals. If you are sent to this team for treatment you are getting the best of the NHS. I will never be able to thank them enough for their commitment to patient care and dignity.
