"the staff at your hospital are amazing"

About: Salford Royal / Neurosurgery

i have been admitted to your hospital twice this month the first time was a scheduled spinal operation on my neck i found from the minute i booked in i found the staff to be polite and very helpful.in the theatre they made me very comfortable and relaxed

.When i came around i was on ward H5 again i found the staff very friendly and helpful nothing was too much for them from lending a friendly ear or administering medication , this was only spoiled by the banking staff on nights who i found to be very rude and unhelpful infact it was a bit unnerving thinking that they were responsible for my welfare undid all the good work from every one else on the ward there work ethic was exceptional a credit to your hospital.

on the second occasion i was admitted through A&E on Wednesday 22/11/17 i had excruetiating pain in my lower back and down both legs once again the attention i received was exceptional they dealt with me with such care and professionalism i was admitted to EAU were i spent two nights before being moved to B7 at all time i felt at ease with every thing they were doing being explained to me clearly and precisely on the Friday i was sent for an MRI scan and at all times the care i received was exceptional, the out come of the scan revealed that i had two bulging disc L2/3 and L4/5 the L4/5 being the most serious and emergency surgery was performed on me the Saturday morning when i came too i was on HDU where the care that i received once again was faultless and so professional from there i was moved to H5 but on this occasion i did not feel uncomfortable infact i was treated liked an old friend with many of the staff calling in to say hello,

I have worked in the service industry for more than 20 years dealing with both trade and retail prior to that i was over 10 years in the army and i would like to say that your staff from the cleaner to the consultant were a credit to your Hospital and its true they do not get paid enough for the long hours that they work or the abuse that they have to put up with, staff seemed happy and moral was high which contributes to an over all positive effect.
