I had to go to minor injuries whilst on holiday and had a fall injuring my knee.
Everyone was so kind caring and friendly.
The staff do not look after you but care for you. I could not have had better care had I been a member of royalty. I have worked for the NHS for 38 years and seen a lot of changes. This hospital still has good old fashioned caring values whilst still giving up to date treatment.
Everything was explained to me and I was told someone would call if need be about my x-ray..I got a call 2 days later and had to go to Cramlington hospital fracture clinic. Again I got excellent care. I was asked to return for follow up in 2 weeks and put in a brace. Unfortunately I had to go to my local hospital since we had returned home. The staff in our local hospital of a large city all commented on the high standard brace I had on. My care since return has not been good and feel I have been pushed to one side and left even though I have a few complications . My visit to fracture clinic I was left struggling to carry my coat with crutches while staff walked behind.
Could go on but my review is the high standard of care I received from Northumbria trust in particular Alnwick so thank you very much .
"Excellent hospital with old fashioned caring..."
