"Care of my mother"

About: Victoria Hospital / Cardiology

(as a relative),

My mother was admitted to ward 23 and was cared for in the ward for the weeks before her sadly passing. The care given from all the staff was second to none. The nursing staff were fantastic. Unfortunately my mother took a turn for the worst one night and sadly passed. However during this tough time the staff were so professional and caring not only looking after my mother but also our family. We Knew how busy the ward was from the weeks my mum had been in but never throughout her whole stay in the ward did this ever reflect the care in which she was given. The staff within the ward are caring compassionate and will always be highly thought of within our experience.

Dear JAM2017,

Firstly as a nursing team I'd like to offer our commiserations at the passing of your mother and we greatly appreciate you sharing your story on care opinion and talking about this difficult time for your family

It's really pleasing to hear you found the nursing staff a great support through their professional and compassionate care. I will pass your thoughts on to the staff who I know will be really chuffed to know you thought they were fantastic.

take care
