What I liked
On the 1st of Jan, I gave birth to my son at Lister after a pregnancy which has brought me into contact with some fantastic people in the NHS. My wonderful Community Midwife was a huge support throughout, my ante natal appointments at Lister were always on time and with caring and dedicated staff.
When I finally went into labour, I had the pleasure of giving birth in the new Labour unit which was sparkling!
I was super impressed with the staff at The Ovum and Gloucester Ward - they were friendly, helpful and most importantly; they were capable of working together - the volunteer tea lady taking the time to alert the midwives when I needed them is just one example of the team spirit I experienced during my short stay.
What could be improved
There were minor teething problems at the new Labour Unit, but I was made aware of those by the midwives and was therefore prepared.AppointmentsDedicatedProfessionalismReceptionWardMaternityMidwifeVolunteers
