"I was heard and taken seriously from the start"

About: Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary / Day Surgery NHS Dumfries and Galloway

(as the patient),

Was listened to, heard and taken seriously from the moment I reported my worries to my GP at Gardenhill Medical Centre, right through to the procedure being undertaken (colonoscopy).  Sister Darroch in particular was very friendly, clear, compassionate and happy to answer any questions I had - I felt in very safe hands.  The team in day surgery were very friendly and kind, and I was made to feel totally at ease throughout the whole thing. Just have to wait for results now, which I think will be fine, but confident if there is anything to worry about it has been noticed very early.  Only wee hiccups were that a couple of letters didn't arrive including an enema for an initial appointment, but no way of telling if this was the NHS or the postal service. Thanks again to everyone who made this experience as stress free as possible.
