I was taken to the Airedale hospital A&E by ambulance on in Feb 2009 following extreme chest pains whilst cycling. Following tests I was informed I had NOT had a heart attack, my pancreas, liver and kidneys were ok and I could go home (A Troponin test was not done).
Following further pains, whilst cycling, a week later, I was admitted to the Yorkshire Heart Centre at the Leeds General Infirmary (They are brilliant) It was established I'd had an NSTEMI (cardiac infarction/heart attack) and they said this was the cause of the earlier pain. Two stents were fitted after an angiogram.
