"Ramptons PD service"

About: Rampton Hospital

(as the patient),

I feel that the Rampton PD service is in crisis!!!

From what I can see Self harm levels higher than ever, staff all busy managing that so everyone else is left to cope on their own.

All resources are being given to Breckon ward (ICU) which is meant to support parents with greatest needs, yet half the patients in there are only there as there is no bed else where and the patients that would benefit from that extra support are all stuck on treatment wards.  Common sense would be to swap them but no they leave them so that treatment ward staff are all busy managing them as a result more and more of us are getting poorly, the environment is toxic and unsafe.

I have never felt more depressed and the thought of ending it is becoming more appealing

Thank you for taking the time to express these concerns on behalf of your relative. I was grateful to be able to discuss this post with you in person at the carers event held on Saturday the 2nd of December. As discussed and agreed both myself and the Deputy Matron for the ward will be meeting with your relative in person to discuss his concerns and the difficulties that he is currently experiencing. His care team are also aware of his current difficulties and will provide support through this difficult time. Thank you again for providing this post and the opportunity for us to meet and discuss.
