"Excellent Care from 111 to Paramedic, Ambulance..."

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary / Accident and emergency

Dialled 111 at 4am having awoken with sudden facial swelling, rash, breathing difficulties (never happened before) 111 calm, efficient, sent ambulance. Paramedic arrived within 20 mins - impressive range of tests etc & emergency treatment. - suspected Anaphylaxis & transported to LRI Emergency dept.

My hospital care and treatment throughout the day was exceptional in every way. Kind, caring, thoroughly professional and effective, explaining everything to me along the way, sending me home with clear plan for further treatment and medication to control the problem in the meantime. I came to understand I had had a potentially life threatening episode, but knew I was in safe hands. Good people all! Our wonderful NHS. Many thanks.
