Just had phone appointment from pain management at North Tees following spinal injection (at Hartlepool)in September which hasn't helped with my neuropathic pain at all. Nurse decided I needed to see consultant again. After discussion with colleague they told me that if I wanted to be seen by consultant back at north tees, which is my local hospital, the next available appointment was in May. (It's November!) I can only get earlier appointment (end of January) if I travel to Hartlepool which is much further away and will take much more time out from work which is hard especially when I believe nothing more will happen at this appointment. I know there are many people in pain but surely a six month wait to be seen at your local hospital pain clinic is unbelievable. (Or maybe not)
"Unbelievably long wait"
