"I feel this is my second home"

About: Inclusion Visions Thurrock (Drug & Alcohol Recovery Service)

(as a service user),

I missed my appointment. Usually when I came back it would have taken 4 days. But once they knew my situation they helped me with 100% service. My care taker Richard and Bav, they gave support, comfort and motivate regardless my situation and circumstance.

I have been the subject of stereotypes and bullying. But I feel this is my second home.

Thank you very much for taking the time to give us your feedback.

Good to hear you came back after missing your appointment, and to hear that you felt supported by staff in a way that left you feeling comforted and motivated. Sounds like you were able to let us know what support you needed and describe your particular situation which helps us respond in a way that hopefully gives you the care you need at that time.

I found your last statement moving and I'm sorry to hear that you have been the subject of stereotyping and bullying which can have such impact on our lives. If this is still current can I encourage you to talk to your keyworker so that we can look at ways of supporting you with this. It's heartening to know that your experience here has been positive to the extent it feels like a second home...

I will pass on your comments to staff and can I just wish you all the best with your ongoing recovery

Emer
