(as a service user),

Emerald ICU

1/ Yes I am involved in making decisions

2/ Yes they are firm fair and honest. I am allowed Lego but if I abuse it I lose it 

3/ Having things to do, jigsaw reading book newspaper lego 

4/ More things to do in my room. I am back in normal bedding soon.

5 I only go to functions I do my own things. I did not go to the 10th Anniversary celebrations.

Thank you for sharing with us that you are pleased with your care and that you are actively involved in the planning and decision making of your care. Your proactive involvement in your care is very important in meeting the agreed objectives that are co-produced by you and your named nurse.

You also appear to understand and agree that staff need to comply with the care plans which means that at times if you put others and/or yourself at risk with the Lego, it will be removed until you are assessed to pose no threat and/or risk.

Congratulations on working hard on your recovery as you will soon be going back to normal bedding. I am happy to hear that having access board games and you have also other activities that you can do in your room.

Although you were not well enough to attend the 10th Anniversary celebrations, I hope you enjoyed the snacks and drinks that were brought back onto the wards by the patients and staff who attended the celebrations. I hope you will be well enough to actively participate in the festive celebrations and singing competition.
