(as a service user),

Emerald Ward: I do feel involved in my care plan setting. They sit down with me, go though all the care plan and make sure I understand them. They ask me what I think about them.

My nursing team do care for me. They are good staff, caring and helpful.

I'm happy with my care. Staff understand and they want the best for our futures.

it has improved. We get out for walks. At night time they put on activities.

The activities are really good but sometimes they are cancelled because they are short staffed.

I am really sorry for the delay in the response to your positive feedback in relation to the care you receive on Emerald Ward and I hope this does not put you off giving feedback in the future. It is great to hear that you find the staff good, caring and helpful. I recognize that staffing is an issue and that activities are cancelled due to lack of staff. We are continually working on recruitment and retention, to improve staffing levels on all the Wards within the Hospital. My response will be posted in DRC within the next week.
