"I feel cared for by my nursing team"

About: Rampton Hospital / National High Secure Healthcare Service for Women

(as a service user),

I get involved in my care plans. I get asked if what is written down is correct. I get asked my opinions. I feel cared for by my nursing team. They listen to me and help me. That help makes me happy. I'm alright with things as they are. The activities are good in the DRC. I make cards and do sewing.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences of service delivery and your involvement in care planning. I trust that with the continued support of the nurses and the rest of the members of your multi-professional clinical as well as the Involvement Centre volunteers you and your colleagues will continue to shape and influence the services on offer so that your individual care and treatment remain of a high quality.

I am delighted that you enjoy attending and participating in activities offered by the Diamond Resource Centre (DRC), the day care services for patients who reside in the National High Secure Mental Health Services. Tina’s group is very popular as it affords time for patients to socialise over a cup of tea whilst acquiring and/or skills their skills in sewing and making crafts. Patients and staff in that group always seem to be helpful and supportive of each other and having fun.

Don’t forget to be part of the group that regularly reviews the DRC activity programme to ensure that the sessions provided remain relevant, engaging and fun!
