What could be improved

no communication to my 79 year old mum, nurses seem to ignore her as though she was invisable.

Anything else?

My 79 year old mum was brought to HRI with severe stomach pains she arrived at A+E at 9.00 on a sunday in January 2011, she was taken to the accute assessment department on a trolley where she remained for the next 16 hours just stuck ina corridoor where the nurses treated her like she was invisable nothing to drink nothing to eat and no bed,my 77 year old dad was there with her sat on a chair all night. At 9,oo the next morning she was taken for an X Ray to be told nothing about her condition until my brother arrived demanding answers we were told nothing until 2.00 on the monday afternoon. Where we were told its kidney stones go home take paracetamols and wait for an appointment to have an ultrasound. Why? could my mum not have been told this earlier wasit because she didint make a fuss ? or could she still be there if it wasnt for my brother wanting to know want was happening. Its certainly put my mum or her family wanting to be in that hospital.AppointmentsKidney stonesParacetamolCommunicationDrinksOpening hoursTrolleyRadiologyNursing staff
