I am utterly disgusted to the back teeth. My partner just had a major ankle fusion and in terrible pain. Although we have managed to adjust to the whole trauma and complexity of it all.At times it felt as if the all process feels as if you are on a conveyer belt. On her second night she ring the bell for some attention and was told by the most brilliant nurse on the Bermondsey Wing that she had to wait and she could manage on her own.
She had to wait and nature calling she ended up wetting herself and became very upset, And the poor soul called me back in tears, I have just left her and home organising her bags for tomorrow, I have been looking after her myself and help with those trips to the lady. whilst on the phone I asked her to ring the nurses for assistance and also to avoid any further stress and also not wanting to be faced with a potential infection I was on the phone trying to reassure and nobody came to the rescue. Eventually another nurse came along and my wonderful other half was pleading for assistance and was told that the had some other pressing matters. I asked her to put this nurse on and was stand to hear that they do not know the name of the person in charge for the night, when pressing for more details, the nurse declined to give me more information and simply said the person in charge will speak to you later they are busy at the moment. This is the state of the NHS , a disaster waiting to happen. Should anything happened to my wife .These people will be held accountable. I will go further with this !
"Poor Service and unwanted stress and anguish."
