"Shambles of a medical centre"

About: The Ross Practice

An absolute shambles of a medical centre. Ram packed in the waiting room, with a high number of mothers with small children and elderly people without a seat. Took at the very least 2 hours for anyone to get seen. My wife and I were told we couldn't get an emergency appointment in the afternoon anymore, that we would have to phone in the morning at 8:30. Come 8:31 none are available. We have just had a new born and she required urgent care for a problem that had occurred. The midwives say you must see your gp and the doctors say you have to see your midwife. Nonetheless we waited 2 and half hours and had to walk out in the end because the baby needed to be fed. A disgrace of a system. And yo too it all off the receptionist staff are among the most unpleasant and rude I have ever experienced. You're greeting sick people at the end of the day. Let's try and be a bit more pleasant. Overall an absolute terrible experience.

We are sorry that your family had a bad experience with us on Monday 20th November whilst waiting to be seen as an emergency.

I am glad that I had an opportunity to talk to you both in person and hope I addressed your concerns appropriately.

This is not the usual level of service we provide to our patients.

Winter pressures for on the day appointments and difficulty recruiting a full-time replacement GP are adding to the increase in day to day demand, thus resulting in added stress and frustration for our patients, doctors and staff. We hope that the situation we find ourselves in at present is only short term and appreciate the understanding of our patients.
