"No words to describe how bad my mother's..."

About: City Hospital (Birmingham)

What I liked

Nothing. my mother is a patient at this hospital recovering from a major operation, she has had nothing but trouble since being in with the lack of ability and care from the nursing staff. They need to stop sitting around laughing and joking in the nurses station and do the job they are paid to do, me and my family will be taking legal advice and putting in a case of medical neglect. Don't dare complain about the nurses as your relative will be on the receiving end.

What could be improved

Everything very bad care I'm discussed these people are working in the caring profession when there isn't a caring bone in there body.

Anything else?

A note to the nurses at city hospital why do your job if you don't enjoy it and sit around talking not looking after your patients how you supposed to. I start my nurse training next year and would never dream treating anybody how you have it maybe one of your own family one day.Patient careNursing staff

I was very sorry to read of your concerns aboit your mother's care at City Hospital. This is certainly not typical of the feedback we get in our regular surveys of patient satisfaction. I would like to investigate your concerns more fully so please contact me at johnadler@nhs.net. John Adler, Chief Executive, Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust.
