Historically I have had to wait approximately 9 months for a wheelchair for my grandson . He is 10 years old and in the last year had a growth spurt going from 27kgs to 44kgs.
He was seen in wheelchair clinic at his school in May this year.
It was obvious to even a fool that his wheelchair is was too small even then.
I was told it would be two weeks until I got one for him.
I am as I write still waiting. He can barley fit in his current wheelchair. Soon he will have to remain in the house.
I have been trying all morning to phone the clinic and just get a busy signal ??????
I think these people are a law unto themselves.
It is my understanding that it is the same for everyone , so that makes me even more disappointed.
