About: Ealing IAPT

(as the patient),

My husband passed away over three and a half years ago.

After the dealing with the initial shock I started to feel quite depressed

about 8 to 9 month ago.  I attended Ealing IAPT Service where I saw 

Martine. I found her excellent in helping me to deal with the 

many issues that were concerning me and to see things in a clearer way.

I feel have learned a lot from her in how to respond to my feelings and think 

that she has given me strategies that I can draw on if I need to. The experience has been totally positive and I now feel so much better now.

We are very grateful that you took the time to give us your feedback on the help received from Martine at Ealing IAPT.

Adjusting to such a significant loss and the changes that come about as a result, is simply hard and often really difficult to discuss with those close to us. Interpersonal Therapy can be a really useful way of gaining some clarity and perspective on the adjustment process and we are really pleased that you found it helpful.

Martine will be delighted to hear that you found the intervention a positive experience particularly after the sad period that you have been through, in addition to now having some strategies in place for the future.
