What I liked

I took my room mate to the AE after we were referred by the out of hours GP to the surgery department. I was shocked at the lack of privacy when the receptionist at the AE asked out loud what was wrong with her despite my room mate presenting the GP note. After an hours wait we were finally seen by an AE nurse for triage who asked us the same questions that the GP had. After her answers that our GP had sent a note and had already assessed our room mate. The nurse had no idea that behind her forms was the GP note attached. In one night my poor room mate was asked to give 4 urine samples used for the same tests (even though our GP had conducted the tests and written the results in the GP note). After another hour and a half wait we were asked to go to surgery. After examining her for 2 hours they said they didn't know what was wrong with her and gave us the same potential diagnosis the GP had (appenticitis or ovarian cysts). She was kept over night and was informed they would run an ultrasound the next day. She was visited by two surgical teams on her first day of hospital- one said she had appenticitis, the other said she had ovarian cysts. She has been in the hospital for two days now with no sign of an ultrasound or a diagnosis. She has been given pain killers to ease the pain- however I am not sure how the doctor's are likely to know if her appendicitis is serious.

What could be improved
