"Urology Dept Nothing but praise"

About: Queen Alexandra Hospital / Urology

Following a diagnosis of prostate cancer I had a robot assisted keyhole radical prostatectomy in August. I had numerous discussions before and after the surgery with consultants and specialist nurses and was always fully informed about my treatment and the options that i had. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble even when i contacted the nurses after surgery regarding what I'm sure were to them minor issues. They had infinite patience and I felt that i could speak to them about any concerns. I appreciate that I cannot name individuals within this review but nevertheless would like the thank all the staff for their help and guidance, the surgeon for their skill, and also the anaesthetist who, apart from their obvious skill, put me completely at ease.
