I’ve given birth to all three of my children here, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for better care.
Granted, my labours were fairly straight forward, but the midwives were so attentive and compassionate that I can only imagine how amazing they are with ladies that have complications. I’ve always been greeted by a friendly face, despite how rushed the staff may be. They’ve always reassured me when I’ve needed it, and you can tell that they really do care about you, your labour and your baby(s).
The birthing suites are clean and modern, and overall, a nice place to be when you’re bringing your baby into the world. The Mary ward is a little daunting, but realistically I think it’s because you’d rather be in the comfort of your own home with your brand new baby, than on a ward with several other women that would rather not be there. However the staff still did everything possible to ensure I was as comfortable and happy as I could be there. With regular checks and very personal care, you don’t feel like just another face, you’re treated like a human, which is hard to expect from ladies that are constantly on the go.
I have always been confident that my babies will be well cared for during and after their delivery, and I’ve never had cause for concern about the level of care we were receiving.
