"No contact"

About: Church View Surgery

I had to semi-plead with the receptionist to accept my mother's urine sample, even though it was 4.50pm (allowed until 5pm) on 15/11/17. The sample was for a possible UTI and along with my suspicions was recommended by the day care staff at Mount Gould.

I phoned on 20/11/17 to check the results. Was my third attempt at ringing, and was on hold for 18 minutes before speaking to someone. Was told that the pharmacy had a prescription waiting to be collected for anti-biotics.

When collecting the drugs, was further told that it had been ready since 16/11/17, a Thursday.

The surgery is aware of my mother's medical condition, and the fact that they 'forgot' to contact me regarding her prescription for a UTI condition is pretty awful and quite unprofessional.

I have a challenging enough time looking after my mother, without added assistance from her surgery.

I'm sure if they had to care for someone full time and receive this treatment, the feeling would be mutual.

I was very concerned to read your comments about your mother's care. I would be very grateful if you would contact me personally to address this problem, as we need to investigate what happened here, and it is difficult to do so given that your comment is anonymous. My e-mail address is on the surgery website and I would very much like to hear from you. Thank you. Emma Rayment, Practice Manager.
