A little late to the party but I would just like to thank all of the staff on the maternity ward for the care myself and my husband received when giving birth to my daughter. We arrived at 8pm and were immediately moved to a delivery suite where we were introduced to the midwife who was caring for me throughout my labour. It's unfortunate that I cannot name the midwife specifically as they were absolutely amazing and deserves a medal for their work! The midwife treated me with care and compassion and I cannot thank them enough for bringing my daughter safely into the world! Our daughter was born at 4:15am on 9th August and we were allowed to stay in the delivery suite so I could get some sleep and have some quiet time with my husband and brand new little daughter :-D I received amazing support with breastfeeding and still continue to do so successfully. Later in the day we were transferred to ward 8, where our daughter was checked over before being discharged the same day. Thank you so much for making it possible for us to go home the same day. The staff literally bent over backwards to allow that to happen. It's staff like this who make the NHS brilliant. I will never forget how well you all cared for us. Thank you.
"Fantastic staff"
