"Botox injections"

About: Leicester General Hospital / Neurology

I have been having botox injections in my disabled right leg for the past 3 years in Ward 1. The injections relax the lower leg muscles enabling me to walk far better without twisting my ankle. As the effects wear off after 14-15 weeks I was having these injections around this time. However, my pass two appointments have been 24 weeks and 29 weeks apart!

I am told this is due to lack of trained staff and funding !!

These long intervals cause me pain, discomfort and frustration due to lack of exercise.

Please can these clinics be ran more frequently?

Dear Reviewer,

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback.

We're really sorry to hear that you have had to wait a long time for an appointment, meaning you're in subsequent pain and discomfort. We will be passing your comments onto the team to address this matter and to see if improvements can be made to the service. We would also like to look into your case individually, so if you are happy to do so, please email: communications@uhl-tr.nhs.uk with your name, address and date of birth so we can investigate further.

Thank you again for taking the time to post your feedback and we will take your comments on board.

Kind regards
