"Our care was first class"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Paediatrics

(as a service user),

We attended an outpatient appointment with our six month old son last week.

Every part of the experience, which was very scary for both parents, was excellent.

We first of all checked in via the monitors at the main entrance, which went very smoothly.

We were asked to attend the weight and height clinic before the appointment. The staff here were lovely.

After this, we attended our appointment. We were seen on time by Dr Higgins.

His care was excellent, he spoke clearly and with care. He made us feel at ease and gave us a clear plan for our son.

Our care was first class and made what was a very scary experience, slightly easier.

It is great to hear that you had such a positive experience during your recent visit to the out patient department with your young son. Our teams understand that it can be very stressful attending the hospital and strive to ensure that children and families are put at ease and receive high standards of care and treatment.

Our General Manager will ensure that your comments are fed back directly to the teams involved and to Dr Higgins in particular. They will be delighted to know what a difference they made to you and your child.
