"7 Day stay on F5"

About: Southampton General Hospital / General surgery

I have just had a seven day stay in F5 a nd if you can say the stay was pleasant then this was. The nurses and staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful

. The food was of a high caliber. The pharmacy let it down as the did not get my heart pills to me until the day I was leaving. The ward doctors did not seem interested in writing the medication up, in fact one was quite rude when asked about it. The Consultants could not have been better, very polite and made you feel relaxed. Not forgetting the team in endoscope department could not have been better. All in all many thanks.

Thank you for sharing your experience of a week on F5 - your comments have been passed to matron to share with the wider team.

I am sorry that we failed to prescribe your medication in a timely way and that you found medical staff to be rude when you tried to address this. If you would like us to look into this matter further please do contact patientsupportservices@uhs.nhs.uk or tel: 023 81206350.

I hope you are continuing to make a good recovery following your hospital attendance.
