"Rude, condescending and kept talking A&E staff..."

We went to A&E yesterday for a scratched eye. They were amazing and sent us to REI. We called in the morning & they kept doing what they could to avoid us attending. When we said A&E told us to.come up, they agreed we coukd attend. When we were there, the nurse was ok but then the doctor came along.

The Doctor that seen us was horrible. They said A&E are not trained to use the eqpt and shouldn't use it. I told them the A&E staff were giod and very competent but the Dr said they don't know how to use it as well as they do. They kept scrutinising A&E like they hate them. The nurse couldn't get the cuff to fit the arm and said they'll get a manual pump. The Dr then did not take blood pressure and said A&E are wrong and quote "put the fear of God into people". They said my wife's eye isn't scratched and then said the blood vessela may have pooped due to being overwheight. The Dr didn't take her blood pressure and the said if you're overweight, it will be high blood pressure (despite not taking it) and palmed us off. My wife left, tearful and feeling like we were a burdon.

Horrible horrible person, they spoke their colleagues down in A&E and was very shoet, abrupt and rude. I will be making a complaint.
