I was admitted with a possible ruptured membrane at 21 weeks, was treated by a very competent doctor but the nurses were incredibly unsympathetic. In an emergency such as this, and with a complicated medical history, I expected to be treated like a human being, not someone to be booked in and out as soon as possible. I was told numerous times my baby was not yet viable so they would not help it, but a bit of common courtesy instead of cold hard facts in a condescending manner made the night a nightmare. I’d have to be dying to go back there.
"I felt like a number not a human being"
