"The treatment I experienced at Northwest boroughs healthcare"

About: North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Royal Bolton Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a service user),

I felt the treatment I received during my recent admission on westleigh unit, atherleigh park, leigh, was absolutely disgusting. I wasn't given the medication I was meant to have that was prescribed by my specialist at Salford royal hospital. The doctor wouldn't listen to me or my support worker.

I lost 11lbs in weight in 4 days and a further 10lbs within less than a week. I was seeing tissue viability nurse and they discharged me without any follow up from the district nurses.  Due to my physical health I couldn't see properly and they changed my medication on the day I was discharged after me being there for weeks, my medication was lol always blistered packed but they put some in boxes that need dissolving in water. I can't take them properly because I can't read the boxes. They also wouldn't let me back on the ward from Bolton hospital because my physical health was so bad but when I discharged myself from Bolton, the staff member who was with me was told that she wasn't allowed in the taxi with me or she would lose her job. Bolton hospital had to order two taxis for us and even though I was sectioned and unwell. I had to travel alone in a taxi back to Leigh. Even the staff member said it was out of order and Bolton staff documented it all because they couldn't believe it and neither could the doctor. I was suicidal and physically unwell when I was discharged home and also I was discharged to a flat with no boiler working.

I feel how the doctor treats the patients on the ward is awful and from what I could see multiple people wish to put in complaints. One of the nurses was brilliant and tried to help me a lot but they can't override a doctor and due to what I felt amounted to their negligence. I have been left in pain, still feeling suicidal and confused. They kept me in because I couldn't keep safe and I have come out worse than I went in both physically and mentally and the doctor was saying that the staff aren't there to keep people safe and if we want to commit suicide then that is our choice. I asked 2 weeks earlier to be discharged and they wouldn't let me but two weeks later they discharged me in a worse state.

How this place can say they are there to help when I know personally of two people committing suicide within a short time of being discharged after telling the doctor they are suicidal.
