Following my son's burn injury and repeat visits for dressing changes, I was phoned back promptly by the same practice nurse we had been seeing when I phoned for advice .
I was offered a drop in appointment after school if I wanted the wound checked as no routine appointments were available which made it so much easier.
We were seen straight away on arrival and dressings provided.
On mentioning I was due to return the following week for a flu jab myself, the nurse offered to give me the jab while I was there to save another trip.
I felt the whole experience was made as convenient as possible for us, and the nurse took extra time to provide reassurance about the continuing wound care.
This particular practice nurse went out of their way to help and this was very much appreciated.
