"E-consult form"

I had been suffering from back pain for 2.5 weeks and Tuesday evening decided to trial the new e-consult form which is easy to complete.

The next morning the surgery rang to say that a doctor had reviewed my online form and thought I needed to see a doctor and could I go down straightaway.

The doctor gave me a thorough examination, a couple of sheets of back exercises, a prescription for painkillers and a form for a lower back x-ray which has shown arthritic changes so need to see GP.

As the form already has all your information on it, and what the problem is, it makes the doctor's life easier and keeps appointment times to a minimum if the doctor that reviews it thinks there is a need for you to be seen. What a wonderful service given by reception staff and doctors so can't thank them enough as doing the e-consult form for non-urgent cases I thought I would just get a prescription for painkillers. I have been with this surgery for 40+ years and have always been happy with the service provided.
