"Urology treatment"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital / Urology

I recently attended the Sunderland day care for an optical cyscoscapy and optical urothscopy. I first saw the cosltent to discuss my procedure ,then on to a space in the ward to meet the anethatist and assistant , everyone from nurses right through to theatre were very polite and considerate and reassuring .when I came round I was given tea and toast and left to recover for a few hours.on release home that night I was given everything to aid me for the week that my catheter had to remain in. I was told I would get a letter to tell me when my catheter would be removed and when I would be shown how to self catheter, also a date for an appointment to see the specialist in three months time. I attended for my op on the 6 th Nov. It is now the15 th, I return Monday for my training in self catheterisation and I have my appointment for Feruary as promised . I would be one of the first to cmplain loudly if things were bad so I want to thank every one involved in my treatment so far and can only hope it continues not only for me but everyone else .Well done Medway urology.
